We are a community of counseling professionals who:

  • Believe racism is endemic in societies.

  • Believe racism is global with local manifestations.

  • Believe racism is a critical social determinant detrimental to the mental health and wellness of the oppressed communities.

  • Believe that mental health and related professionals have historically contributed to racial discrimination and maintenance of systemic racism.

  • Believe that it is not enough for counseling professionals to be non-racist in identity and practice; we must maintain an antiracist stance personally and professionally in order to disrupt systemic racism and to build a racism-free world.

  • Are committed to antiracist pedagogy, curriculum, and practice in the equipping and empowering of counseling professionals.
