NARTIC 2025 Open House: April 1
April 1 2025 (Tues), 2 pm to 3:30 pm Pacific Time (Los Angeles)
Zoom Facilitator: Dr. Andrew Wood, Oregon State University
Discussion Facilitators: NARTIC working group for white antiracist counselors/counselor educators
Members of NARTIC’s working group for white counselors will facilitate the April 1 NARTIC Open House focusing on antiracism for white counseling professionals. This will be a candid discussion of our experiences in the current environment, with a focus on actions that white-bodied counselors and counselor educators can be taking. We will offer collaboration and community building, and an invitation for new members to join NARTIC and the working group for white counselor educators.
NARTIC started in September 2022. Since then, the network has grown steadily to more than 80 members to date. Members have also formed various interest/workgroups doing research and presentations, developing training materials, conducting training workshops, and so forth. In 2025, the NARTIC Admin Team is hosting regular opportunities for bringing the NARTIC community together through these monthly Open House events.
These virtual Open Houses serve to introduce you to NARTIC, and offer a forum for current NARTIC collaborators to share their projects. Please sign up to attend an event that fits your schedule. You will have the opportunity to network with current and new members and form workgroups of your choice. If you’re not ready to collaborate in any projects, you’re still welcome to attend the events and network with like-minded counseling and mental health professionals. We welcome colleagues from outside of the United States to collaborate with us to advance antiracist teaching and learning in counseling and related mental health professions.
Current members are most welcome to attend the events to connect and build new collaborations.
Please help us spread the news to your U.S.-based and international counseling friends. You can become a member of NARTIC by filling the “Join Us” form.
